Amal believes that thanks to the UAE’s leadership and legislation, the challenges facing Emirati women today have become fewer and are more opportunities for growth and learning than obstacles. For her, challenges were about broadening horizons, exploring different fields, and proving herself in every role she undertook. Through these experiences she grew more aware of her ability to learn and to make a meaningful impact wherever she worked.

One of her proudest achievements is receiving the Best Young Employee Award as part of the Emirates Award at the Ministry of Education in her second year of work, where she was honored by His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This moment remains a turning point that motivated her to give even more to her country.
She also takes pride in her participation in the UAE Astronaut Program Second Batch, where she successfully passed advanced stages of rigorous tests and interviews. Although she was not selected for the final list, the experience itself was a personal victory and a source of pride for her family, teaching her the true meaning of challenge and perseverance.

She recalls a deeply emotional moment at the 2013 graduation ceremony honoring top graduates from public universities, when she saw in Her Highness’s eyes a look of pride and a reassuring smile. That moment became a turning point in her life, reminding her that every step she takes does not represent her alone but her country, supported by a motherly figure who believes and takes pride in her.

For Amal, the slogan “Hand in Hand We Celebrate the Fifty” carries gratitude for half a century of empowerment and achievement. It signifies not only women’s cooperation but also the integration of leadership and society, men and women, and successive generations. She believes that every success achieved by Emirati women today is rooted in the legacy of the General Women’s Union, which has always been a platform of trust and support. Fifty years of progress are a foundation for another fifty of renewed ambition and achievement.

تقول أمل إن التحديات التي تواجه المرأة الإماراتية اليوم أقل بكثير مما مضى، بفضل التشريعات والفرص التي تحوّل العقبات إلى مساحات للتعلم والنمو. أما بالنسبة لها، فقد تمثلت التحديات في توسيع آفاقها وتجربة مجالات مختلفة وإثبات ذاتها في كل موقع عملت فيه. ومن خلال هذه التجارب، زاد وعيها بقدرتها على التعلم وإحداث تأثير حقيقي أينما كانت.

الإنجازات والفخر المهني

تفخر أمل الكعبي بحصولها على جائزة أفضل موظف شاب ضمن جائزة الإمارات في وزارة التربية والتعليم خلال عامها الثاني من العمل، حيث نالت التكريم من الفريق سمو الشيخ سيف بن زايد آل نهيان، وهي لحظة راسخة في ذاكرتها منحتها دافعًا لمضاعفة الجهد والعطاء.
كما تفخر بمشاركتها في برنامج الإمارات لرواد الفضاء – الدفعة الثانية، حيث اجتازت مراحل متقدمة من الاختبارات والمقابلات الصارمة. ورغم أنها لم تصل إلى القائمة النهائية، إلا أن التجربة شكلت إنجازًا شخصيًا كبيرًا ومصدر فخر لأسرتها، ورسخت لديها قيمة التحدي والصبر.

ترى أمل أن المرأة الإماراتية اليوم تجسّد نموذجًا ملهمًا للتمكين الحقيقي، سواء كانت ربة بيت أو موظفة أو طالبة أو رائدة أعمال. فهي اليوم شريك رئيسي في التنمية وصناعة القرار. وتشير إلى أن ما تحقق هو ثمرة دعم متواصل من القيادة الرشيدة، خصوصًا “أم الإمارات”، التي مهّدت الطريق لجيل كامل من النساء المؤمنات بقدراتهن.

الإلهام والقدوة

“لديكن اليوم كل أدوات النجاح. وطن آمن، قيادة مؤمنة بكن، ومجتمع يثق في قدراتكن. الفرص مفتوحة بلا حدود، وما عليكن إلا أن تحوّلن أحلامكن إلى أفعال. اعملن باسمكن، ولكن ضعن اسم الإمارات في المقدمة دائمًا. كُنّ الصورة التي تعكس جوهر المرأة الإماراتية: متعلمة، واعية، قادرة، ومخلصة. ولا تنسين أن الطموح لا سقف له إذا كانت النية صافية والعزيمة ثابتة.”

معنى الاحتفاء بالخمسين
