Amna Saleh, a proud daughter of the UAE, has worked in digital media for nearly 20 years. She began her professional journey in 2005 after graduating with a degree in Information Technology, but destiny led her into the world of digital media, where she witnessed the evolution from e-services to smart services, and today, to artificial intelligence.
Over the years, she moved across five leading government entities, each stage enriching her expertise and fueling her passion.

At Dubai Municipality, she established the first social media platforms and managed them long before this role became officially recognized. At Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority, she contributed to the development of smart applications. At Dubai Police, she was part of creative teams that launched initiatives which made the police the most digitally engaging institution in the emirate. Later, she joined Dubai Media Incorporated – Al Bayan Newspaper as Digital Media Managing Editor, where she led the shift to a digital-first strategy. After transitioning to the IT Department, she headed website and app development, laying the roadmap for an integrated digital infrastructure that reinforced competitiveness and kept pace with rapid media evolution.

Academic and Professional Qualifications

Amna holds a Diploma in Digital Media, a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, and a Master’s in Innovation & Change Management. These credentials reflect her passion for continuous learning and her commitment to developing herself across multiple, complementary fields.

Challenges

Among the main challenges Amina faced was balancing work, study, and family life, while maintaining the same level of passion and enthusiasm every day. The ever-changing world of digital media also requires constant adaptation and learning a challenge she embraced as a motivator for growth.

Achievements

Amna takes pride in being the first to establish social media platforms at Dubai Municipality, her contributions to the Smart Services team at the Roads and Transport Authority, and her role in Dubai Police’s pioneering digital initiatives. She also played a key role in leading Al Bayan newspaper’s digital transformation.

Amna believes that Emirati women today are essential partners in national achievements, thanks to the unwavering support of the country’s leadership which has invested in women’s potential. This support, she notes, has strengthened their confidence and inspired them to meet expectations for future generations.

آمنة صالح، ابنة الإمارات الفخورة، تعمل في مجال الإعلام الرقمي منذ ما يقارب 20 عامًا. بدأت مسيرتها المهنية في عام 2005 بعد تخرجها بدرجة البكالوريوس في تقنية المعلومات، لكن الأقدار قادتها إلى عالم الإعلام الرقمي، حيث عايشت التحولات من الخدمات الإلكترونية إلى الخدمات الذكية، واليوم إلى الذكاء الاصطناعي
تنقلت بين خمس جهات حكومية بارزة، ولكل مرحلة منها بصمة مميزة في صقل خبراتها وتعزيز شغفها. عملت في بلدية دبي وأسست أول منصات للتواصل الاجتماعي فيها، ثم شاركت ضمن فريق الخدمات الذكية في هيئة الطرق والمواصلات، وأسهمت في إطلاق مبادرات مبتكرة، وكانت جزء من فريق تطوير هوية شرطة دبي الجديدة التي جعلت شرطة دبي الأولى على مستوى الإمارة في التفاعل الرقمي لاحقًا. انضمت إلى مؤسسة دبي للإعلام -صحيفة البيان- كـ مدير تحرير الإعلام الرقمي، حيث ساهمت في تبني استراتيجية “الرقمي أولًا” وبعد انتقالها إلى إدارة تقنية المعلومات، تولت قيادة تطوير البنية التحتية الرقمية وخطط التطبيقات والمواقع الإلكترونية

التحديات

أبرز التحديات التي واجهتها آمنة كانت الموازنة بين العمل والدراسة والحياة الأسرية، إضافةً إلى المحافظة على الحماس والشغف يوميًا. كما أن العمل في الإعلام الرقمي يتطلب متابعة مستمرة للتطورات المتسارعة، وهو ما اعتبرته تحديًا محفزًا للتعلم والنمو

تفخر آمنة بأنها أول من أسس منصات التواصل الاجتماعي في بلدية دبي، وأدارتها لفترة طويلة قبل اعتماد هذا الدور رسميًا في المؤسسات الحكومية. كما تفخر بمساهمتها في فرق الخدمات الذكية لهيئة الطرق والمواصلات، ومبادرات شرطة دبي الرقمية، إضافة إلى دورها الريادي في التحول الرقمي لصحيفة البيان
