Alyaa AlKaabi, an Emirati mother of two boys, draws her deepest inspiration from her children. She studied electronics and electrical engineering, and she has been working as an electrical engineer for 11 years. For her, the driving force of life is the opportunity to contribute positively to her community, live with integrity, and raise her sons with pride and love for their nation.

Her journey began with curiosity and determination, anchored by an unwavering belief in the power of learning and resilience. She realized early on that true growth lies in perseverance, commitment, and patience values that guided her pursuit of personal goals while staying true to her family and cultural heritage.

Like many Emirati women, Alyaa encountered the challenge of balancing multiple responsibilities while proving herself across different paths. Yet, she chose to turn these challenges into opportunities for strength and growth. With persistence, family support, and the empowering environment created by the nation’s leadership, she was able to rise above obstacles with faith and confidence.

Among her achievements, Alyaa takes the most pride in raising her children while remaining loyal to her values of responsibility, patience, and resilience. She views the role of Emirati women today as a remarkable evolution. From once being the foundation of society, they have now become decision-makers, leaders, and innovators across all fields. This transformation is a testament to the trust and vision of the UAE’s leadership, who empowered women to help shape the nation’s future.

For Alyaa, Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the “Mother of the Nation,” stands as a symbol of wisdom, courage, and empowerment. Her Highness’s vision paved the way for Emirati women to dream without limits and to pursue goals once thought unattainable. Personally, Alyaa sees her as a source of confidence and a reminder that ambition has no boundaries when rooted in strong values.

Her message to young Emirati women is resolute: “Believe in your capabilities and never underestimate the value of your contribution. The path may be demanding, but every step brings you closer to your dreams. The UAE needs ambitious women ready to innovate, lead, and carry forward the legacy of empowerment entrusted to us.”

As the UAE celebrates fifty years since the establishment of the General Women’s Union, Alyaa views the theme “Together, We Celebrate the 50” as both a tribute and a responsibility. It is a celebration of progress, a recognition of sacrifices made, and a call to continue building with unity and purpose ensuring that the next generations inherit not only achievements but also the strength to carry them forward.

وترى علياء أن دور المرأة الإماراتية اليوم شهد تحولاً جوهرياً؛ إذ انتقلت من كونها دعامة لبناء المجتمع إلى صانعة للقرار وقائدة في مختلف الميادين. هذا التطور يعكس الثقة والرؤية التي أولتها القيادة للمرأة لتكون عنصراً فاعلاً في صياغة مستقبل الدولة

وعن سمو الشيخة فاطمة بنت مبارك، “أم الإمارات”، تقول علياء إنها رمز الحكمة والقوة والتمكين، وملهمة لكل امرأة إماراتية لتؤمن بقدرتها على بلوغ الآفاق التي كانت يوماً بعيدة المنال. ترى فيها علياء مصدر ثقة وإيمان بقدرات النساء، ودليلاً على أن الطموح لا يعرف حدوداً حين يتكئ على رؤية صلبة

رسالتها للشابات الإماراتيات واضحة: “آمنّ بقدراتكنّ ولا تستهينّ بقيمة عطائكنّ. قد تكون الطريق شاقة، لكن كل جهد يقربكنّ خطوة من أحلامكنّ. الوطن يحتاج نساء طموحات يقدن ويبتكرن، ويحملن شعلة التمكين جيلاً بعد جيل

وبمناسبة مرور خمسين عاماً على تأسيس الاتحاد النسائي العام، ترى علياء أن شعار “يداً بيد نحتفي بالخمسين” ليس مجرد احتفال، بل هو دعوة لتحمّل مسؤولية الاستمرار في البناء. إنه تكريم لإنجازات الماضي، والتزام بمواصلة المسيرة بثقة كي تبقى الإمارات نموذجاً مضيئاً تتوارثه الأجيال
