While still at university, she began writing under pseudonyms before the publication of her first article marked the true beginning of her career with Al Ittihad newspaper.

Through hands-on reporting, she mastered the fundamentals of journalism and continuously refined her skills, eventually rising to the position of Senior Journalist at the newspaper. Over more than 25 years, she built extensive experience covering local and international stories across economics, society, politics, and culture. She overcame these obstacles through the support of her family and her determination to ensure that her professional reputation would be built on the quality and impact of her work rather than on her gender. Over time, she proved that competence, dedication, and the ability to deliver meaningful journalism are the true foundations of lasting success.

Among the accomplishments Reem Al Breiki values most is her role in mentoring and training journalists, as well as training employees from government institutions and university students in media skills between 2005 and 2008.

She also represents the United Arab Emirates in the Confederation of ASEAN Journalists / Asia-Pacific Journalists organizations and serves as a certified trainer in several disciplines, including media, reflecting both her professional expertise and her commitment to mentoring the next generation of media professionals.
