After more than 27 years, her daughter became the first girl with Down syndrome in Abu Dhabi to complete university education and is now working with pride and productivity — a story that proves that faith, knowledge, and determination can transform what seems impossible into reality.

Her experience as a mother became the spark that shaped her professional path. She realised that true change does not begin with information alone, but with building people, transforming mindsets, and creating environments that support growth.
Therefore, she focused on designing development programmes that go beyond skill-building to include culture-building, strengthening values, developing behaviours, and unlocking human potential.
She believes that strong institutions begin with strong individuals, and that thriving nations are built by people who believe in their purpose and mission.

Sheikha Al Ahbabi considers her daughter’s success her greatest achievement because it transformed her perspective on life and strengthened her belief that a person’s potential is greater than any expectation when someone believes in them.
Professionally, she takes pride in contributing to the design and leadership of development initiatives and programmes within government entities, focusing on leadership development, a culture of learning, psychological safety, and institutional values.

Today, I write these words from an experience I lived with all its fears and hopes.
I am the mother of a daughter who is a Person of Determination. There were years when fear filled my heart, and I quietly wondered:
Would my daughter find a place that embraces her?
Would society see her abilities before seeing her differences?
Would she have a future worthy of her humanity?
But in the UAE, the answer came through actions before words.
I did not view the slogan “We Will Emerge Stronger and Better” as merely a phrase, but as a reality reflected in daily life and shaped through every experience we go through.
In the UAE, strength is not measured by the challenges we face, but by who we become afterwards. Excellence is not measured by what we possess, but by what we create when we are given trust and support.
Through my experience with my daughter, my perspective on life transformed completely. What I once saw as a challenge became a motivation for growth. What I thought was an obstacle became a window of hope.
Because the UAE does not look at People of Determination through their limitations, but through their abilities and what they can contribute.
My daughter found open doors for learning, opportunities for growth, environments that believed in her abilities, and spaces that strengthened her personality and skills. Today, she has become a source of pride for me and my family.
Fear was replaced with certainty that this nation does not see challenges — it sees people and their potential.
Here, I realised that “We Will Emerge Stronger and Better” is not a slogan for a national occasion; it is a deeply rooted Emirati vision reflected in every human story.
Difficult experiences do not weaken societies that believe in people. Instead, they reveal their beauty and highlight the deepest meanings of their strength.

I learned from this journey that true empowerment does not begin with programmes, but with belief in people.
The greatest achievements are not measured by numbers, but by the smile of a mother whose heart found peace, the confidence of a girl who discovered her value, and the feeling of a family that knows the nation walks beside them, not behind them.
This is the legacy created by “Mother of the Emirates.”
A legacy that transformed inclusion into a culture, compassion into strength, opportunity into a right, and dignity into the foundation of development.
Because of this vision, the participation of People of Determination in society is no longer an exceptional scene, but a natural reflection of a nation that believes every person has a place, every talent has an opportunity, and every dream has a path waiting to be opened.

تؤمن شيخة علي بن جمهور الأحبابي بأن الإنسان خُلق ليترك أثرًا، وأن القيادة الحقيقية لا تبدأ من المناصب، بل من المواقف التي تُعيد تشكيل الإنسان من الداخل. ولم تبدأ رحلتها في قاعات التدريب أو عبر المناصب القيادية، بل مع ولادة ابنتها من أصحاب الهمم، وهي اللحظة التي تصفها بأنها كانت أعظم مدرسة في حياتها. في البداية واجهت الخوف، وتعدد الآراء التي كانت ترسم حدودًا لقدرات ابنتها، لكنها رفضت أن تؤمن بأي سقف يحد من إمكانات إنسان كرّمه الله. ومن هنا بدأت رحلة التعلم والبحث والتجربة، حتى تحولت المسؤولية إلى رسالة، ورسخت لديها قناعة بأن بناء الإنسان هو أعظم إنجاز يمكن أن يحققه المرء. وبعد أكثر من سبعة وعشرين عامًا، أصبحت ابنتها أول فتاة من متلازمة داون في أبوظبي تكمل تعليمها الجامعي، وتعمل اليوم بكل فخر وإنتاجية، في قصة تؤكد أن الإيمان والعلم والعمل قادرون على تحويل المستحيل إلى واقع

الإنسان أولًا… ومنه يبدأ التغيير

كانت تجربة الأمومة مع ابنتها هي الشرارة التي رسمت مسارها المهني، إذ أدركت أن التغيير الحقيقي لا يبدأ بالمعلومة، بل ببناء الإنسان وتغيير قناعاته وتهيئة البيئة التي تساعده على النمو. لذلك اتجهت إلى تصميم البرامج التطويرية التي تتجاوز تنمية المهارات إلى بناء الثقافة، وتعزيز القيم، وتطوير السلوك، وإطلاق الإمكانات البشرية، انطلاقًا من إيمانها بأن المؤسسات القوية تبدأ بإنسان قوي، وأن الأوطان المزدهرة تُبنى بأفراد يؤمنون برسالتهم

إنجازات صنعتها القناعة قبل الإمكانات

وأكتب اليوم هذه الكلمات من تجربةٍ عشتها بكل ما حملته من قلقٍ وأمل، فأنا أم لابنة من أصحاب الهمم، كانت هناك سنواتٌ يخالط فيها الخوف قلبي، وأتساءل بصمت: هل ستجد ابنتي مكانًا يحتضنها؟ وهل سيرى المجتمع قدراتها قبل أن يرى اختلافها؟ وهل سيكون لها مستقبل يليق بإنسانيتها؟، لكن في الإمارات… جاءت الإجابة بالفعل قبل الكلمات

لم أتعامل مع شعار “بنظهر الأقوى والأفضل” بوصفه عبارة تُقال، بل بوصفه حقيقة تتجلى في تفاصيل الحياة اليومية، وتُصاغ في كل تجربة نمرّ بها، ففي الإمارات، لا تُقاس القوة بما نواجهه من تحديات، بل بما نصبح عليه بعدها؛ ولا يُقاس التميز بما نملكه، بل بما نصنعه حين نُمنح الثقة والدعم. ومن هنا فقط أدركت أن هذا الشعار ليس وصفًا عابرًا، بل مسار حياة متكامل تتجسد ملامحه في كل إنجاز، وقد شكّلت تجربتي مع ابنتي من أصحاب الهمم نقطة تحول عميقة في نظرتي للحياة. فما كنت أراه يومًا تحديًا صار دافعًا للنمو، وما ظننته عائقًا انفتح أمامي كنافذة للأمل، لأن الإمارات لا تنظر إلى أصحاب الهمم من زاوية حدودهم، بل من زاوية قدراتهم وما يمكن أن يضيفوه

وجدت ابنتي أبوابًا مفتوحة للتعلم، وفرصًا للنمو، وبيئات تؤمن بقدراتها، ومساحات تبني شخصيتها، وتنمي مهاراتها، وتعزز علاقاتها الإنسانية، حتى أصبحت اليوم مصدر فخر لي ولأسرتنا. لقد تبدد الخوف، وحل محله اليقين بأن هذا الوطن لا يرى التحديات، بل يرى الإنسان وإمكاناته، وهنا تجلّى لي أن “بنظهر الأقوى والأفضل” ليست شعارًا لمناسبة وطنية، بل رؤية إماراتية راسخة تُترجم في كل تجربة إنسانية. فالتجارب الصعبة لا تُضعف الشعوب التي تؤمن بالإنسان، بل تكشف أجمل ما فيها، وتُبرز أعمق معاني قوتها. ومع كل محطة، يمنحنا الوطن فرصة جديدة لننهض، ونتطور، ونصبح أفضل لأنفسنا، ولمجتمعنا، ولوطننا
