When Dr. Aisha Al Mutawwa reflects on her professional journey, she does not see it as a series of positions or accomplishments, but rather as a continuous journey in search of true impact in people’s lives. From the very beginning, she believed that human beings are the greatest investment, and that knowledge is only complete when its benefits are reflected in people and society.
Her choice of this path was not merely a career decision, but a mission she came to believe in over the years, inspired by the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may his soul rest in peace, who believed that the progress of nations begins with building people, and that the greatest investment is in humanity before infrastructure.
A Family That Instilled Values and Shaped the Beginning
Dr. Aisha believes that what she has achieved today is the result of a family that valued knowledge and principles above all else. Her parents, may they rest in peace, were her greatest teachers and role models. They instilled wisdom before knowledge, and values before ambition, forming the foundation upon which her personality and career were built.
Despite the years of living abroad due to her father’s work outside the UAE, the country remained deeply present in the family’s hearts, filled with pride and belonging. Following the journey of Sheikh Zayed was a constant source of inspiration, strengthening her belief that serving people, families, and society is one of the greatest missions a person can carry.
A Multidisciplinary Academic Journey Dedicated to Serving Humanity
Her academic journey included three interconnected fields that expanded her vision and strengthened her expertise. She began by studying Sharia and Law, then moved into Psychology and Counselling, before specialising in Sociology with a focus on Family Counselling.
She also obtained a professional licence to practice family counselling and therapeutic intervention in marital and family matters.
Dr. Aisha believes that people create their achievements through their determination and sincere choices. Therefore, she chose to deepen her understanding of human psychology and behaviour, seeking to contribute to family and social balance and to serve her community with greater depth and impact.

An Academic Mission That Creates Impact Across Generations
Dr. Aisha began her journey at the University of Sharjah in 2016 by providing guidance and counselling to students, helping them overcome academic and personal challenges while moving closer to their dreams.
As her experience grew, she realised that her mission extended further into academic work and research. She transitioned into teaching, combining education, academic supervision, and research, believing that preparing individuals intellectually, scientifically, and ethically is an investment whose benefits continue across generations.
The UAE provided her with a supportive environment and opportunities that enabled her to continue this mission and contribute to preparing a generation equipped with knowledge, awareness, and responsibility.
Challenges… A Path Toward Growth and Giving
The journey was not easy. She faced many challenges and difficulties that tested her patience and determination. Sometimes challenges overcame her, and at other times she overcame them.
However, her vision remained unchanged: to give back part of the gratitude she feels toward a nation that provided its sons and daughters with endless opportunities for success, and to transform everything she learned into contributions that benefit individuals, families, and society.
She believes challenges are not obstacles, but rather milestones that create maturity, strengthen resilience, and transform difficulties into opportunities for growth.
When Impact Becomes Greater Than Achievement
Among the moments that remain most meaningful in her memory are those when she witnessed knowledge transforming into real change in people’s lives:
A family that regained stability after conflicts that almost destroyed it.
A student who restored confidence after believing failure was the end of the journey.
A young researcher who moved from hesitation to passion and confidence in the early stages of their academic path.
These experiences confirmed to her that her mission was not simply a job, but a trust and responsibility. She believes that the greatest achievements are not those written in a résumé, but those that remain alive in people’s lives and create a genuine difference in their future.
The Emirati Woman… A True Partner in Building the Future
Dr. Aisha Al Matouq believes that the achievements of Emirati women today are an extension of a strong national vision established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may he rest in peace, who made women essential partners in building the nation.
This journey was continued by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates,” may God protect her, until Emirati women became confidently present in fields of science, leadership, research, and community service.
She believes that expanded opportunities today come with greater responsibility, and that true excellence is not only about reaching positions, but also about preserving values, maintaining professional ethics, continuing to learn, and using knowledge to serve the nation and humanity.

A Message to Emirati Women
Dr. Aisha encourages every girl and young woman to make knowledge her lifelong companion, to embrace patience and determination, and not to rush results, because great success is built through accumulated knowledge, sincere intentions, and dedication.
She emphasises that true value lies in seeking impact before recognition, and purpose before position, because what remains in the end is not what is written in a résumé, but what is written in the lives of others.
Endless Ambition and a Continuing Mission
Despite her achievements, Dr. Aisha believes that the journey still holds many opportunities for giving. She aspires to expand her contributions in scientific research, family counselling, and community service, while helping prepare generations who possess knowledge, awareness, and a sense of responsibility.
For her, building people will always remain the highest mission to which she has dedicated her life.

In Love for the UAE… A Renewed Commitment Through Giving
On Emirati Women’s Day, Dr. Aisha Al Matouq renews her commitment to remain faithful to the mission she believed in from the beginning: that knowledge should serve humanity, that the family remains the foundation of society, and that everything she offers is a way of giving back to a nation that has provided its sons and daughters with limitless opportunities, believed in their abilities, and opened doors of excellence and achievement.

ترى الدكتورة عائشة أن ما حققته اليوم هو ثمرة أسرة آمنت بالعلم والقيم قبل أي شيء آخر. فقد كان والداها، رحمهما الله، خير معلم وقدوة، غرسا فيها الحكمة قبل المعرفة، والقيم قبل الطموح، فشكّلا الأساس الذي قامت عليه شخصيتها ومسيرتها. ورغم سنوات الغربة التي فرضها عمل والدها خارج الوطن، بقيت الإمارات حاضرة في وجدان الأسرة، يملؤها الاعتزاز والانتماء، وكانت متابعة مسيرة الشيخ زايد مصدر إلهام دائم، لترسخ لديها قناعة بأن خدمة الإنسان والأسرة والمجتمع هي أعظم رسالة يمكن أن يحملها الإنسان
رحلة علمية متعددة التخصصات لخدمة الإنسان
حملت رحلتها الأكاديمية ثلاثة تخصصات متكاملة أسهمت في توسيع رؤيتها وصقل خبراتها؛ بدأت بدراسة الشريعة والقانون، ثم انتقلت إلى علم النفس والإرشاد، وصولاً إلى علم الاجتماع بتخصص الإرشاد الأسري، إلى جانب حصولها على الرخصة المهنية لممارسة الإرشاد الأسري والتدخل العلاجي في القضايا الزوجية والعائلية. وترى أن الإنسان هو من يصنع إنجازاته بإرادته واختياراته الصادقة، لذلك اختارت أن تتعمق في فهم النفس البشرية والسلوك الإنساني، سعياً للإسهام في تحقيق التوازن الأسري والاجتماعي وخدمة مجتمعها بصورة أكثر عمقاً وتأثيراً
رسالة أكاديمية تصنع الأثر في الأجيال
بدأت مسيرتها في جامعة الشارقة عام 2016 من خلال تقديم الإرشاد والتوجيه للطلبة، ومساعدتهم على تجاوز تحديات الدراسة والحياة والاقتراب من أحلامهم. ومع تراكم الخبرة، وجدت أن رسالتها تتسع أكثر في المجال الأكاديمي والبحث العلمي، فانتقلت إلى السلك التدريسي، لتجمع بين التعليم والإشراف العلمي والبحث، مؤمنة بأن إعداد الإنسان علمياً وفكرياً وقيمياً هو الاستثمار الذي تبقى ثماره عبر الأجيال. وقد وفرت لها دولة الإمارات البيئة الداعمة والفرص التي مكنتها من مواصلة هذه الرسالة والمساهمة في إعداد جيل يحمل العلم والوعي والمسؤولية
التحديات… طريقٌ نحو النضج والعطاء
لم تكن الرحلة سهلة، فقد واجهت العديد من التحديات والصعوبات التي اختبرت صبرها وإصرارها، وغلبتها أحياناً وغلبتها هي في أحيان أخرى. إلا أن رؤيتها بقيت ثابتة؛ أن ترد جزءاً من جميل الوطن الذي منح أبناءه وبناته فرصاً واسعة للنجاح، وأن تحول كل ما تعلمته إلى عطاء ينعكس على الإنسان والأسرة والمجتمع. وترى أن التحديات ليست عائقاً، بل محطات تصنع النضج وتعزز القدرة على الاستمرار وتحويل الصعوبات إلى فرص للنمو
حين يصبح الأثر أعظم من الإنجاز
من أكثر المحطات رسوخاً في ذاكرتها تلك اللحظات التي رأت فيها أثر العلم يتحول إلى واقع في حياة الناس؛ أسرة استعادت استقرارها بعد خلافات كادت تعصف بها، وطالب استعاد ثقته بنفسه بعد أن ظن أن الفشل نهاية الطريق، وباحث شاب انتقل من التردد إلى الشغف والثقة في أولى خطواته العلمية. هذه المواقف أكدت لها أن رسالتها لم تكن مجرد وظيفة، بل أمانة ومسؤولية، وأن أعظم الإنجازات ليست تلك التي تُكتب في السيرة الذاتية، وإنما تلك التي تظل حاضرة في حياة الآخرين وتصنع فرقاً حقيقياً في مستقبلهم
المرأة الإماراتية… شريك أصيل في صناعة المستقبل
تؤمن الدكتورة عائشة المطوع أن ما وصلت إليه المرأة الإماراتية اليوم هو امتداد لرؤية وطنية راسخة أرسى دعائمها المغفور له الشيخ زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان، طيب الله ثراه، حين جعل المرأة شريكاً أساسياً في بناء الوطن، ثم واصلت سمو الشيخة فاطمة بنت مبارك “أم الإمارات” حفظها الله، هذه المسيرة حتى أصبحت المرأة الإماراتية حاضرة بثقة في ميادين العلم والقيادة والبحث والعمل المجتمعي. وترى أن اتساع الفرص اليوم يقابله اتساع المسؤولية، وأن التميز الحقيقي لا يتحقق بالوصول إلى المناصب فحسب، بل بالحفاظ على القيم، والالتزام بأخلاقيات المهنة، والاستمرار في التعلم، وتسخير المعرفة لخدمة الوطن والإنسان

في حب الإمارات… عهد يتجدد بالعطاء
