Maryam began her professional journey at the age of 24. She did not have years of extensive experience, but she possessed a strong passion for learning and a genuine desire to prove herself.
From the beginning, she believed that the starting point does not determine the final destination, and that every person can write their own story through what they contribute, not only through what they aspire to achieve.
The Road from Abu Dhabi to Dubai… Investing in the Future
Her first year was one of the most influential stages in shaping her professional personality. She lived in Abu Dhabi while her workplace was in Dubai, spending long hours commuting every day.
Although this period may have seemed like a major challenge, she viewed it as an investment in her future. She began each day with the belief that every hour she dedicated and every experience she gained brought her one step closer to her goals.
Mashreq Bank… Excellence Begins with Small Details
Maryam began her career at Mashreq Bank as a Senior Customer Service Specialist, where she learned that excellence begins with the smallest details — commitment, accuracy, respect for customers, and the dedication to providing an experience that exceeds expectations.
She did not see this role merely as a starting point, but as an opportunity to understand the fundamentals of banking and build a strong foundation of knowledge and experience.
From Customer Service to Building Trust and Relationships
Later, Maryam moved into the role of Customer Relationship Officer, a stage that became an important turning point in her career. She became closer to customers and gained a deeper understanding of their needs and expectations.
She realized that building relationships is not only about providing services, but about creating trust, listening carefully, and understanding what lies beyond customers’ immediate needs.
During this period, she was keen to contribute to improving the work environment rather than simply completing daily tasks. She participated in a digital transformation project and contributed ideas to improve workflow within branches and enhance customer experiences.
This experience strengthened her confidence in expressing ideas and contributing to meaningful change.

Being recognized among the highest-performing employees during her first year was an important milestone for Maryam. It gave her greater motivation to continue and confirmed that dedication and passion always appear through results.
From First Abu Dhabi Bank to Discovering the Meaning of Leadership
After that, Maryam moved to First Abu Dhabi Bank as a Relationship Officer in the Human Resources Affairs Department. She was later honored with the opportunity to become an Assistant Branch Manager.
During this stage, she began viewing leadership from a different perspective. Leadership was no longer simply about making decisions; it became about empowering others, listening to team members, supporting their growth, and creating an environment where everyone could succeed.
True Ambition… A Greater Responsibility, Not Just a Position
Maryam’s professional steps were never driven by the search for a title or position. Instead, they were motivated by a desire for greater responsibility, new challenges, and wider opportunities to learn and make an impact.

Today, only four years after beginning her professional journey, and at the age of 28, Maryam has taken on the role of Director of Excellency Customer Services at Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, where she leads two teams focused on strengthening a culture of excellence, improving customer experiences, and enhancing the quality of services provided.
When she looks at this stage of her career, she does not see it as a destination, but as a new responsibility carrying greater ambition.

كانت سنتها الأولى من أكثر المراحل التي صنعت شخصيتها المهنية. كانت تعيش في أبوظبي بينما كان مقر عملها في دبي، وتقضي ساعات طويلة يوميًا على الطريق. وقد تبدو هذه المرحلة تحديًا كبيرًا، لكنها بالنسبة لها كانت استثمارًا في مستقبلها. كانت تبدأ كل يوم بإيمان بأن كل ساعة تبذلها، وكل تجربة تتعلم منها، تقربها خطوة من هدفها

بنك المشرق.. التميز يبدأ من التفاصيل الصغيرة

بدأت مريم مسيرتها في بنك المشرق بمنصب أخصائي خدمة عملاء أول، حيث تعلمت أن التميز يبدأ من التفاصيل الصغيرة؛ من الالتزام، والدقة، واحترام المتعامل، والحرص على تقديم تجربة تفوق التوقعات. ولم تنظر إلى هذا الدور كبداية فقط، بل كفرصة لفهم أساسيات العمل المصرفي وبناء قاعدة قوية من الخبرة والمعرفة

لاحقًا، انتقلت إلى منصب مسؤول علاقات العملاء، وكانت هذه المرحلة نقطة تحول مهمة، إذ أصبحت أقرب إلى المتعاملين وأكثر فهمًا لاحتياجاتهم وتوقعاتهم. وأدركت حينها أن بناء العلاقات لا يعتمد فقط على تقديم الخدمة، بل على بناء الثقة، والاستماع، وفهم ما وراء احتياجات العميل، وخلال تلك الفترة، حرصت على أن تكون جزءًا من تطوير بيئة العمل، وليس فقط تنفيذ المهام اليومية. فشاركت في مشروع التحول الرقمي، وساهمت في تقديم أفكار لتحسين سير العمل داخل الفروع وتعزيز تجربة المتعاملين، وهي تجربة عززت ثقتها بقدرتها على التعبير عن الأفكار والمساهمة في صناعة التغيير

الأداء المتميز.. حين يتحول الالتزام إلى نتائج

كان تصنيف مريم ضمن أعلى الموظفين أداءً خلال عامها الأول محطة مهمة منحتها دافعًا أكبر للاستمرار، وأكدت لها أن الالتزام والشغف يظهران دائمًا في النتائج

بعد ذلك، انتقلت مريم إلى بنك أبوظبي الأول بمنصب مسؤول علاقات في قسم شؤون الموظفين، ثم تشرفت لاحقًا بتولي منصب مساعد مدير فرع. وفي هذه المرحلة بدأت ترى القيادة من منظور مختلف؛ فلم تعد القيادة بالنسبة لها مرتبطة فقط باتخاذ القرارات، بل أصبحت مرتبطة بتمكين الآخرين، والاستماع لهم، ودعم تطورهم، وخلق بيئة تساعد الفريق على النجاح

الطموح الحقيقي.. مسؤولية أكبر لا مجرد منصب

واليوم، وبعد أربع سنوات فقط من بداية رحلتها، وفي عمر الثامنة والعشرين، تشرفت مريم بتولي منصب مدير خدمات العملاء المتميزين في بنك أبوظبي التجاري، حيث تقود فريقين يعملان على تعزيز ثقافة التميز، وتحسين تجربة المتعاملين، ورفع جودة الخدمات المقدمة، وعندما تنظر إلى هذه المرحلة، لا تراها نقطة وصول، بل مسؤولية جديدة تحمل معها طموحًا أكبر. فالقيادة بالنسبة لها ليست محطة نهائية، بل رحلة مستمرة من العطاء، والتطوير، وصناعة أثر إيجابي في من حولها
