Maryam Obaid Al Mazrouei… From Building People to Creating Impact: An Emirati Message that Makes Education the Pathway to Shaping the Future

I am Ms. Maryam Obaid Al Mazrouei, a Special Education Teacher holding a Master’s degree in Innovative Education – Leadership Track, in addition to a Diploma in Family and Psychological Counseling, a Diploma in Human Resources, and a Diploma in Total Quality Excellence Applications. I am also a certified professional trainer and an aspiring writer. Throughout 14 years of experience in the educational field, I have believed that education is not merely a profession I practice, but a mission I live by, and an impact I hope remains in the hearts and lives of those I meet.
From my earliest steps in education, my goal was never simply to deliver lessons or transfer knowledge, but to be a reason behind discovering a student’s abilities, building their confidence, and helping them recognize their potential before they could see it themselves. I have always believed that when a person finds someone who believes in them, they become capable of achieving what they once thought was impossible.
I chose the field of Special Education because I found within it a profound humanitarian mission. This field taught me that every student has their own unique way of learning, and that success is not measured by how quickly one reaches the goal, but by the determination to continue and the teacher’s ability to embrace differences and transform them into strengths.
My journey was not without challenges. I faced the responsibility of balancing my studies and professional commitments at the same time, while continuously working on developing myself academically and professionally. I believe that a teacher who stops learning eventually stops making an impact. Therefore, I have always viewed every challenge as an opportunity for growth and every experience as a lesson that adds to my personality and expertise.
Throughout my career, I have been honored to achieve several accomplishments that I value deeply, including receiving second place in the “Inspiring Teacher’s Footprint Award” and first place in the “School for All” competition. I also had the opportunity to participate in identifying and supporting talented students in collaboration with the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences. However, I continue to believe that my greatest achievement is witnessing a student become more confident, more capable, and closer to achieving their dreams.
Alongside my educational mission, I have begun my first steps into the world of writing as an aspiring writer. I write because I believe that a sincere word can transform an idea, build awareness, and create an impact that lasts. I aspire for my writing to be an extension of my educational and humanitarian mission, carrying values that contribute positively to society.
I believe that Emirati women today are experiencing an exceptional era of empowerment, thanks to the vision of our wise leadership, which has believed in their capabilities and provided them with opportunities to learn, create, lead, and contribute to shaping the future of their nation. I am proud to be one of the daughters of this country, and I strive to play my role in this blessed journey.
“We Will Appear Stronger and Better”… Strength Begins with Believing in the Mission
For me, the slogan “We Will Appear Stronger and Better” means that true strength begins with believing in one’s mission, and that excellence is not measured by positions or titles, but by the impact we leave in the lives of others.
As a Special Education Teacher, writer, holder of a Master’s degree in Innovative Education – Leadership Track, and a professional trainer, I believe that the true investment begins with building people. Every stage of my journey has strengthened my belief that leadership is a responsibility, education is a mission, and meaningful words have the power to create change and spread awareness.
On the family level, I believe that the family is the first school where values are planted. On the national level, I believe that Emirati women have become essential partners in the nation’s development journey through their knowledge, ideas, contributions, and belief that serving the country is a responsibility before it is an achievement.
Success Is Not a Destination… It Is a Continuous Journey of Growth
Maryam’s message to every woman who aspires to be among “the stronger and better” in her country, community, and family is not to view success as a destination, but as a continuous journey of daily growth.
She emphasizes the importance of investing in education, developing skills, and holding firmly to values, because true strength is not found in the number of achievements, but in the positive impact a woman leaves in the lives of others. She encourages every woman to have a purpose and a mission, as nations are not built only by those who hold positions, but also by women who work with sincerity, spread awareness, raise generations, and contribute goodness wherever they are.
When Believing in a Student Becomes a Turning Point in Their Life
One of the moments that remains deeply engraved in Maryam’s memory is witnessing one of her students, who struggled with low self-confidence and social withdrawal, gradually transform into a student who participated confidently and expressed himself courageously. At that moment, she realized that the greatest impact a teacher creates is not found in students’ notebooks, but in their hearts.
She also remembers a student who was close to giving up on her dream after losing her passion for continuing her education. Maryam saw the disappointment in her eyes, but she also saw a spark of hope worth protecting. She believed in her before she believed in herself and stood beside her with support and encouragement until she regained her confidence, completed high school, and joined university.
Years later, the student still keeps in touch with her, sharing her achievements and seeking her advice. Every time they speak, Maryam is reminded that the greatest gift a teacher can offer is not merely a lesson from a textbook, but sincere belief in a person who can transform their life forever.
Therefore, Maryam encourages the people of her nation to believe in themselves, invest in education, and not fear beginnings, because every great achievement starts with a small step, and every meaningful impact begins with an idea someone believed in.

أنا أ. مريم عبيد المزروعي، معلمة تربية خاصة أحمل درجة الماجستير في التربية الابتكارية – مسار القيادة، إلى جانب دبلوم المستشار الأسري والنفسي، ودبلوم الموارد البشرية، ودبلوم تطبيقات التميز الشامل، ومدرب محترف وكاتبة مبتدئة. وعلى مدار 14 عاماً من الخبرة في الميدان التربوي، آمنت بأن التعليم ليس وظيفة أؤديها، بل رسالة أعيشها، وأثر أطمح إلى أن يبقى في نفوس من ألتقي بهم

منذ خطواتي الأولى في التعليم، لم يكن هدفي أن أشرح درساً أو أنقل معلومة، بل أن أكون سبباً في اكتشاف قدرات طالب، وبناء ثقته بنفسه، ومساعدته على رؤية إمكاناته قبل أن يراها هو. كنت أؤمن دائماً بأن الإنسان إذا وجد من يؤمن به، أصبح قادراً على تجاوز ما كان يظنه مستحيلاً

اخترت مجال التربية الخاصة لأنني وجدت فيه رسالة إنسانية عظيمة. فقد علّمني هذا المجال أن لكل طالب طريقته الخاصة في التعلم، وأن النجاح لا يُقاس بسرعة الوصول، بل بالإصرار على الاستمرار، وبقدرة المعلم على احتواء الاختلاف وتحويله إلى نقطة قوة

لم تكن رحلتي خالية من التحديات، فقد واجهت مسؤوليات الدراسة والعمل في الوقت نفسه، وحرصت على مواصلة تطوير نفسي علمياً ومهنياً، لأنني أؤمن بأن المعلم الذي يتوقف عن التعلم يتوقف عن التأثير. لذلك كنت أرى في كل تحدٍ فرصة جديدة للنمو، وفي كل تجربة درساً يضيف إلى شخصيتي وخبرتي

وخلال مسيرتي، كان لي شرف تحقيق عدد من الإنجازات التي أعتز بها، منها حصولي على المركز الثاني في جائزة بصمة معلم ملهم، والمركز الأول في مسابقة المدرسة للجميع، إضافة إلى مشاركتي في اكتشاف ورعاية الطلبة الموهوبين بالتعاون مع مؤسسة حمدان بن راشد آل مكتوم للعلوم الطبية والتربوية. لكنني ما زلت أؤمن بأن أعظم إنجاز بالنسبة لي هو أن أرى طالباً أصبح أكثر ثقة بنفسه وأكثر قدرة على تحقيق أحلامه

وإلى جانب رسالتي في التعليم، بدأت أخطو خطواتي الأولى في عالم الكتابة بصفتي كاتبة مبتدئة. أكتب لأنني أؤمن بأن الكلمة الصادقة قد تغيّر فكرة، وتبني وعياً، وتصنع أثراً يبقى طويلاً. وأسعى لأن تكون كتاباتي امتداداً لرسالتي التربوية والإنسانية، وأن تحمل قيمة تضيف شيئاً جميلاً إلى المجتمع.

وأؤمن بأن المرأة الإماراتية اليوم تعيش مرحلة استثنائية من التمكين، بفضل رؤية قيادتنا الرشيدة التي آمنت بقدراتها ومنحتها الفرصة لتتعلم وتبدع وتقود وتسهم في صناعة مستقبل وطنها. وأشعر بالفخر لأنني واحدة من بنات هذا الوطن، وأسعى لأن يكون لي دور في هذه المسيرة المباركة

بنظهر الأقوى والأفضل.. قوة تبدأ من الإيمان بالرسالة

يعني شعار «بنظهر الأقوى والأفضل» أن القوة الحقيقية تبدأ من الإيمان بالرسالة، وأن الأفضلية لا تُقاس بالمناصب، بل بالأثر الذي نتركه في حياة الآخرين. وكمعلمة تربية خاصة، وكاتبة، وحاصلة على درجة الماجستير في التربية الابتكارية – مسار القيادة، ومدربة محترفة، تؤمن بأن الاستثمار الحقيقي يبدأ ببناء الإنسان. فكل محطة في مسيرتها عززت قناعتها بأن القيادة مسؤولية، وأن التعليم رسالة، وأن الكلمة الواعية قادرة على إحداث التغيير وصناعة الوعي. وعلى المستوى الأسري، تؤمن بأن الأسرة هي المدرسة الأولى التي تُغرس فيها القيم، أما وطنياً، فترى أن المرأة الإماراتية أصبحت شريكاً أساسياً في مسيرة التنمية بعلمها وفكرها وعطائها، وإيمانها بأن خدمة الوطن مسؤولية قبل أن تكون إنجازاً

النجاح ليس محطة.. بل رحلة من التطور المستمر

توجه مريم رسالتها لكل امرأة تطمح لأن تكون من «الأقوى والأفضل» في وطنها ومجتمعها وأسرتها، بألا تجعل النجاح محطة تصل إليها، بل رحلة تتطور فيها كل يوم. وتؤكد أهمية الاستثمار في العلم، وتطوير المهارات، والتمسك بالقيم، لأن القوة الحقيقية ليست في كثرة الإنجازات، بل في الأثر الطيب الذي تتركه المرأة في حياة الآخرين. كما تدعو كل امرأة إلى أن تكون صاحبة رسالة، فالوطن لا يبنيه أصحاب المناصب وحدهم، بل تبنيه النساء اللواتي يعملن بإخلاص، ويكتبن الوعي، ويربين الأجيال، ويقدمن الخير أينما كنّ

حين يصبح الإيمان بالطالب نقطة تحوّل في حياته

من أكثر المواقف التي بقيت راسخة في ذاكرة مريم رؤية أحد طلبتها، الذي كان يعاني ضعف الثقة بالنفس والانطواء، ثم تحول مع مرور الوقت إلى طالب يشارك بثقة ويعبّر عن نفسه بكل شجاعة. عندها أدركت أن أعظم أثر يتركه المعلم ليس في دفاتر الطلبة، بل في نفوسهم

كما لن تنسى يوماً تلك الطالبة التي كانت على وشك أن تتخلى عن حلمها بعدما فقدت الشغف بإكمال دراستها. رأت في عينيها اليأس، لكنها رأت أيضاً بصيص أمل يستحق أن يُحافظ عليه. آمنت بها قبل أن تؤمن بنفسها، وكانت إلى جانبها بالدعم والتشجيع حتى استعادت ثقتها وأكملت المرحلة الثانوية ثم التحقت بالجامعة. واليوم، وبعد مرور السنوات، ما زالت تتواصل معها وتشاركها إنجازاتها وتلجأ إليها طلباً للنصيحة. وكلما تحدثت معها، أيقنت مريم أن أعظم ما يمكن أن يقدمه المعلم ليس درساً في كتاب، بل إيماناً صادقاً بإنسان قد يغيّر حياته إلى الأبد، لذا توجه مريم رسالتها إلى أبناء الوطن للإيمان بأنفسهم والاستثمار في العلم، وعدم الخوف من البدايات، لأن كل إنجاز كبير بدأ بخطوة صغيرة، وكل أثر عظيم بدأ بفكرة آمن بها صاحبها.

بناء الإنسان.. الإنجاز الذي يبقى

تؤمن مريم بصفتها معلمة تربية خاصة، وكاتبة، وحاصلة على درجة الماجستير في التربية الابتكارية – مسار القيادة، إلى جانب دبلوم المستشار الأسري والنفسي، ودبلوم الموارد البشرية، ودبلوم تطبيقات التميز الشامل، ومدرب محترف، بأن رحلة النجاح لا تتوقف عند إنجاز معين، بل هي رحلة مستمرة من التعلم والتطور والعطاء. وتختتم دائماً بإيمان رافقها منذ بداية رحلتها: قد ينسى الناس ما قدمته لهم، لكنهم لن ينسوا الأثر الذي تركته في قلوبهم. لذلك ستظل تؤمن بأن بناء الإنسان هو أعظم استثمار، وأن الأثر الصادق هو الإنجاز الذي يبقى، وأثر لا يزول
