When I ask myself, “Who is Nada Ali Yousif Alraeesi?” I find that the answer cannot be summed up by a profession or a position as much as it can be described as a long journey of passion, experience, and a constant search for people and stories that deserve to be told.

I am Nada Ali Yousif Alraeesi, an Emirati media professional and journalist. My journey in media began with an early belief that words and images are not merely professional tools, but a responsibility and a mission. I studied Media and Journalism at UAE University, and from the very beginning, I found myself drawn to the world of journalism with all its movement, questions, encounters, and human experiences. For me, those early years were a space for learning and self-discovery, and with every experience, I discovered a new side of myself and of the field I had chosen.

Over more than twenty years, I have moved through different media experiences, from working at 999 magazine at the Ministry of Interior, to Baynounah TV, and then to Abu Dhabi Media and Al Ittihad News Center, where I worked in field journalism, reporting, investigative journalism, and interviews. Every stage left an imprint on me and added something to my professional and personal journey that books alone could never provide.

But the most beautiful thing media has given me is the opportunity to get closer to people. Behind every piece of news is a human being; behind every image is a story; and behind every person is a narrative that may change the way we see life. That is why I have never viewed journalism simply as the transmission of information, but rather as an attempt to understand people, get closer to the details of their lives, and give their voices the space they deserve.

Over the years, my relationship with media has expanded beyond traditional journalism. My interests have grown to include photography, content creation, editing, and visual storytelling, because I believe that while the tools of storytelling may change, its essence remains the same: to reach people with a story that is honest and impactful.

As for Nada the person, I am the daughter of a journey that has taught me that success is not a destination we reach, but an ongoing ability to evolve, learn, and rediscover ourselves. To this day, I believe that the most beautiful part of the journey is not the number of years we have travelled, but the stories we have lived, the people we have met, and the lessons they have left within us.

If I were to sum up my journey in one sentence, I would say: I am a woman who chose to make media a window through which she sees people, storytelling a bridge that connects them, and every experience a new opportunity to learn, grow, and leave an impact.

In the beginning, my greatest challenge was proving myself in a fast-paced field and finding my own voice amid many different and varied experiences. I believed that success does not come all at once, but is built through experience, hard work, and a constant willingness to learn. That is why I never viewed mistakes as failures, but rather as lessons that helped me become more aware of what I wanted and what I was capable of contributing.

As the years passed, the challenge became more closely connected to keeping pace with the transformations taking place in the media industry. Media today is no longer what it was when I began my career. The tools have changed, platforms have accelerated, and audiences have become more present and influential. I had to learn again, develop my skills in content creation, visual storytelling, and editing, and ensure that years of experience did not turn into a comfort zone.

I also learned that media work requires a great deal of patience and flexibility, particularly when working under time pressure while being expected to produce content that is both accurate and distinctive. Whenever I faced a challenge, I returned to one simple belief: if I cannot change the circumstances, I can always change the way I respond to them.

Today, the Emirati and Arab woman stands at an exceptional stage in her history; a stage in which opportunity is no longer simply a door opened to her, but a vast space through which she can establish her presence, build her own initiatives, influence her community, and participate in shaping the future.

In the UAE, the empowerment of women has been an integral part of the nation’s journey of development, rather than a response to a passing phase. Today, we see women present across a wide range of fields, from science, technology, space, and medicine to media, culture, entrepreneurship, and decision-making. To me, this presence is not an achievement for women alone, but an achievement for society as a whole, because any society that invests in the potential of its women is investing in its future. The UAE has strengthened this direction through national policies focused on women’s participation across various sectors, the development of their future skills, and support for their leadership roles.

At the Arab level, I believe women have made significant progress, but they still carry a greater responsibility: to move beyond simply proving their capabilities toward creating meaningful impact and opening the way for those who come after them. I believe that a woman’s success is measured not only by the position she reaches, but also by the number of opportunities she creates for others and the impact she leaves on those around her.

For me, as a woman and media professional, I believe media is one of the most important fields through which women can create this impact. Women do not simply tell other women’s stories; they can give them a voice, reveal their experiences, and present inspiring role models for new generations.

One of the stories that remains most vivid in my memory is that of a young girl named Al Yaziyah. She was an orphan and a person of determination who had autism spectrum disorder, yet she carried a simple but deeply meaningful dream: to meet His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. She spoke about this dream with such honesty and innocence that it had a profound impact on me. From that moment, I felt that my role should not stop at telling her story; I should try to become a bridge that could carry her voice and her dream to the person she wished to meet.

When that meeting finally took place, the moment was much more than simply a photograph or a news story. I saw a joy in Al Yaziyah’s eyes that words could not describe, and I felt that I was witnessing one of those rare moments that remind us why we chose media in the first place: because behind every story is a human being, and that story may have the power to change someone’s life.

What has stayed with me from that experience is not only Al Yaziyah’s happiness, but also the lesson she left within me. I realized that when media touches people’s lives, it can transform from a profession into a mission, and from simply telling a story into creating real impact.

Al Yaziyah taught me that dreams cannot be measured by their size, and that a dream that may seem simple to others can mean everything to the person who carries it. She also taught me that one of the most beautiful things a media professional can do is give space to those who may not otherwise be able to make their voices heard, and to search for the human side behind every story.

Even today, whenever I think of Al Yaziyah, I remember that the most beautiful moments in media work are not necessarily those that achieve widespread exposure. They are the moments that leave a smile on someone’s face, give them hope, or help them move one step closer to their dream.

I believe this particular story will always remain one that I carry with me, because it reminded me that behind the camera and the pen there is a heart, and that the most beautiful thing media can do is be a voice for humanity.

I do not believe I can attribute my success to one person or one organization, because every person I have met throughout my journey, whether personally or professionally, has left some kind of mark on me. Each taught me a lesson, gave me an idea, or encouraged me to become better. Even people who were only briefly part of my life may have left an impact that stayed with me for years.

However, if there are two people I always return to when I speak about my beginnings and the true support I received, they are my mother and father, may they rest in peace. They were the first and greatest source of support in my life. From them, I learned the meaning of self-confidence, patience, responsibility, and the belief that a person can create their own path regardless of the challenges.

Although they are no longer with me, I feel that their presence continues to accompany me every step of the way. There are many things I accomplish and wish they were here so I could tell them about them. Sometimes, I remember something they said or a particular moment we shared, and I feel that it still gives me strength.

My mother and father, may they rest in peace, were the first people to believe in me. And every person who has passed through my life has left their own unique mark. Today, I am the sum of all those faces, words, moments, and lessons that have shaped the Nada I am today.

To every Emirati girl on Emirati Women’s Day, I say:

Believe in yourself before others believe in you.

Do not follow the path others have drawn for you. Do not be afraid to dream. Discover your passion, choose the field that reflects who you are, and give yourself the opportunity to experiment, even if you make mistakes or stumble along the way. Success is not a straight path; it is a journey filled with attempts and challenges, and every experience, even the difficult ones, adds something to your character.

Most importantly, do not measure your success by how quickly you arrive, and do not compare your journey with another woman’s journey. Each of us has her own timing, circumstances, and unique story.

The slogan “We will emerge stronger and better” encapsulates an entire journey through life—the journey of a person within themselves, within their family, in their work, and in their relationship with their country. To me, strength does not mean living without challenges. It means going through them and emerging more mature, more aware, and more confident in ourselves.

On a personal level, I have learned that every experience, no matter how difficult, carries a lesson and an opportunity for growth, and that rising after a setback is one of the truest forms of strength. On a family level, I believe that my strength is reflected in those I love, and that my role is to be a source of security and pride for my children, and to instill in them confidence, patience, and the ability to face life. Because the most beautiful thing we can leave for future generations is the values that remain with them.

Professionally, “We will emerge stronger and better” means never stopping the process of learning and development. Media has changed dramatically since I began my career, and this transformation has made me even more determined to acquire new skills, keep pace with technology, and develop my abilities in writing, photography, storytelling, and content creation. In my view, true expertise is not about knowing everything; it is about always being willing to learn something new.

Nationally, the slogan reflects the spirit of the UAE in which we were raised the spirit of ambition, hard work, and determination to make tomorrow better than today. I feel that our responsibility does not end with achieving personal success. It extends to ensuring that each of us leaves a positive impact on our community and helps preserve the distinguished image our country deserves.

The journey of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Emirates,” has profoundly influenced my view of Emirati women. It reinforced my belief that women can bring together authenticity and ambition, as well as their family responsibilities and their role in building the nation. Her Highness has been an inspiring model in supporting and empowering women and in opening broad horizons for them to participate, create, and excel across different fields.

As for my message to Her Highness, it is simply: thank you from the heart. Thank you for believing in Emirati women, for trusting in their capabilities, and for your commitment to ensuring that women are active partners in the nation’s journey. The most beautiful way we can honor this journey is to continue succeeding and giving back, and to open the way for future generations just as doors were opened for us.

ندى الرئيسي: صنعتني الحكايات.. وأخرجتني الحياة أقوى وأفضل

حين أسأل نفسي: من هي ندى الرئيسي؟ أجد أن الإجابة لا تختصرها مهنة أو منصب، بقدر ما تختصرها رحلة طويلة من الشغف، والتجربة، والبحث الدائم عن الإنسان والحكاية التي تستحق أن تُروى
أنا ندى الرئيسي، إعلامية وصحفية إماراتية، بدأت رحلتي مع الإعلام من إيمان مبكر بأن الكلمة والصورة ليستا مجرد أدوات مهنية، وإنما مسؤولية ورسالة. درست الإعلام والصحافة في جامعة الإمارات، ومنذ البدايات وجدت نفسي منجذبة إلى عالم الصحافة بكل ما يحمله من حركة وأسئلة ولقاءات وتجارب إنسانية. كانت البداية بالنسبة لي مساحة للتعلّم واكتشاف الذات، ومع كل تجربة كنت أكتشف جانباً جديداً من شخصيتي ومن هذا المجال الذي اخترته
على مدى أكثر من عشرين عاماً، تنقلت بين تجارب إعلامية مختلفة، من العمل في مجلة «999» بوزارة الداخلية، إلى قناة بينونة، ثم إلى مؤسسة أبوظبي للإعلام ومركز أخبار الاتحاد، حيث عملت في الصحافة الميدانية، وإعداد التقارير، والتحقيقات، والحوارات. وكل محطة تركت في داخلي أثراً، وأضافت إلى تجربتي المهنية والإنسانية شيئاً لا يمكن أن تمنحه الكتب وحدها
لكن أجمل ما منحني إياه الإعلام هو فرصة الاقتراب من الناس. خلف كل خبر إنسان، وخلف كل صورة قصة، وخلف كل شخصية حكاية قد تغيّر نظرتنا إلى الحياة. لذلك لم أتعامل مع الصحافة يوماً باعتبارها مجرد نقل للمعلومة، بل باعتبارها محاولة لفهم الإنسان، والاقتراب من تفاصيله، ومنح صوته المساحة التي يستحقها.
ومع مرور السنوات، لم تعد علاقتي بالإعلام محصورة في الصحافة التقليدية؛ فقد توسعت اهتماماتي لتشمل الصورة، وصناعة المحتوى، والمونتاج، والسرد البصري، لأنني أؤمن بأن أدوات الحكاية تتغير، لكن جوهرها يبقى واحداً: أن نصل إلى الناس بحكاية صادقة ومؤثرة
أما ندى الإنسانة، فهي ابنة رحلة علّمتها أن النجاح ليس محطة نصل إليها، وإنما قدرة مستمرة على التطور، والتعلّم، وإعادة اكتشاف الذات. وما زلت حتى اليوم أؤمن أن أجمل ما في الرحلة ليس عدد السنوات التي قطعتها، وإنما القصص التي عشتها، والأشخاص الذين التقيتهم، والدروس التي تركوها في داخلي.
ولو أردت أن أختصر رحلتي في جملة واحدة، فسأقول: أنا امرأة اختارت أن تجعل من الإعلام نافذة ترى من خلالها الناس، ومن الحكاية جسراً يصل بينهم، ومن كل تجربة فرصة جديدة لتتعلم وتنمو وتترك أثراً
في البدايات، كان التحدي الأكبر هو أن أثبت نفسي في مجال سريع الإيقاع، وأن أجد صوتي الخاص وسط تجارب كثيرة ومتنوعة. كنت أؤمن أن النجاح لا يأتي دفعة واحدة، بل يُبنى بالتجربة، وبالعمل الجاد، وبالاستعداد الدائم للتعلم. لذلك لم أتعامل مع الأخطاء باعتبارها إخفاقات، بل باعتبارها دروساً ساعدتني على أن أصبح أكثر وعياً بما أريد وما أستطيع أن أقدمه
ومع مرور السنوات، أصبح التحدي أكثر ارتباطاً بمواكبة التحولات في صناعة الإعلام. فالإعلام اليوم لم يعد كما كان في بداياتي؛ تغيرت الأدوات، وتسارعت المنصات، وأصبح الجمهور أكثر حضوراً وتأثيراً. وكان عليّ أن أتعلم من جديد، وأن أطور مهاراتي في صناعة المحتوى والسرد البصري والمونتاج، وألا أسمح لسنوات الخبرة بأن تتحول إلى منطقة راحة
كما تعلمت أن العمل الإعلامي يحتاج إلى قدر كبير من الصبر والمرونة، خصوصاً عندما نعمل تحت ضغط الوقت ونكون مطالبين بتقديم محتوى دقيق ومختلف في الوقت نفسه. وفي كل مرة كنت أواجه فيها تحدياً، كنت أعود إلى قناعة بسيطة: إذا لم أستطع تغيير الظروف، أستطيع دائماً أن أغيّر طريقة تعاملي معها
المرأة الإماراتية والعربية اليوم تقف أمام مرحلة استثنائية من تاريخها؛ مرحلة لم تعد فيها الفرصة مجرد باب يُفتح أمامها، وإنما مساحة واسعة تستطيع من خلالها أن تصنع حضورها، وتبني مشروعها، وتؤثر في مجتمعها، وتشارك في رسم ملامح المستقبل.
في الإمارات، كان تمكين المرأة جزءاً أصيلاً من مسيرة بناء الدولة، وليس استجابة لمرحلة عابرة. واليوم نرى المرأة حاضرة في مختلف المجالات، من العلوم والتكنولوجيا والفضاء والطب، إلى الإعلام والثقافة وريادة الأعمال وصناعة القرار. وهذا الحضور بالنسبة لي ليس إنجازاً للمرأة وحدها، وإنما إنجاز للمجتمع بأكمله؛ لأن أي مجتمع يستثمر في طاقات نسائه هو مجتمع يستثمر في مستقبله. وقد عززت الدولة هذا التوجه من خلال سياسات وطنية تركز على مشاركة المرأة في مختلف القطاعات، وتنمية مهاراتها المستقبلية ودعم حضورها القيادي
أما على المستوى العربي، فأعتقد أن المرأة قطعت أشواطاً مهمة، لكنها ما زالت تحمل مسؤولية أكبر: أن تنتقل من مجرد إثبات قدرتها إلى صناعة الأثر وفتح الطريق أمام من يأتي بعدها. وأؤمن أن نجاح المرأة لا يُقاس فقط بالموقع الذي تصل إليه، وإنما بعدد الفرص التي تخلقها لغيرها، وبالأثر الذي تتركه في محيطها
وبالنسبة لي كامرأة وإعلامية، أؤمن بأن الإعلام أحد أهم المجالات التي تستطيع المرأة من خلالها أن تصنع هذا الأثر؛ لأنها لا تنقل قصص النساء فحسب، بل تستطيع أن تمنحهن صوتاً، وأن تكشف عن تجاربهن، وأن تقدم نماذج ملهمة للأجيال الجديدة
من أكثر القصص التي لا تزال عالقة في ذاكرتي، قصة طفلة اسمها اليازية؛ طفلة يتيمة من أصحاب الهمم، وكانت تعاني اضطراب طيف التوحد، لكنها كانت تحمل في قلبها حلماً بسيطاً وعميقاً في الوقت نفسه: أن تلتقي صاحب السمو الشيخ محمد بن زايد آل نهيان. وكانت تتحدث عن هذا الحلم بصدق وبراءة تركا أثراً كبيراً في داخلي. ومن هنا شعرت أن دوري لا ينبغي أن يتوقف عند نقل قصتها، بل أن أحاول أن أكون جسراً يمكن أن يصل صوتها وحلمها إلى من تتمنى لقاءه
وعندما تحقق اللقاء، كانت اللحظة بالنسبة لي أكبر من مجرد صورة أو خبر. رأيت في عيني اليازية فرحة لا يمكن أن تصفها الكلمات، وشعرت أنني أمام واحدة من تلك اللحظات النادرة التي تذكّرنا لماذا اخترنا الإعلام في الأساس: لأن وراء كل قصة إنساناً، وربما يكون لهذه القصة القدرة على تغيير حياة إنسان
ما بقي في ذاكرتي من تلك التجربة ليس فقط فرحة اليازية، وإنما الدرس الذي تركته في داخلي. أدركت أن الإعلام حين يلامس حياة الناس يمكن أن يتحول من مهنة إلى رسالة، ومن نقل للحكاية إلى صناعة أثر حقيقي
اليازية علّمتني أن الأحلام لا تُقاس بحجمها، وأن حلماً قد يبدو بسيطاً في نظر الآخرين يمكن أن يعني الكثير لصاحبه. كما علّمتني أن أجمل ما يمكن أن يفعله الإعلامي هو أن يمنح مساحة لمن لا يستطيع إيصال صوته، وأن يبحث عن الجانب الإنساني خلف كل قصة
وحتى اليوم، كلما تذكرت اليازية، أتذكر أن أجمل لحظات العمل الإعلامي ليست بالضرورة تلك التي تحقق انتشاراً واسعاً، وإنما تلك التي تترك ابتسامة على وجه إنسان، أو تمنحه أملاً، أو تساعده على الاقتراب خطوة واحدة من حلمه
وأعتقد أن هذه القصة تحديداً ستبقى من القصص التي أحملها معي دائماً، لأنها ذكّرتني بأن خلف الكاميرا والقلم قلباً، وأن أجمل ما يمكن أن يفعله الإعلام هو أن يكون صوتاً للإنسان
أعتقد أنني لا أستطيع أن أختصر الفضل في نجاحي بشخص واحد أو جهة واحدة؛ لأن كل إنسان التقيته في رحلتي، سواء في حياتي الشخصية أو المهنية، ترك في داخلي أثراً ما، وعلّمني درساً، أو منحني فكرة، أو دفعني لأن أكون أفضل. حتى الأشخاص الذين مروا في حياتي لفترة قصيرة ربما تركوا أثراً ظل معي لسنوات.
لكن إذا كان هناك شخصان أعود إليهما دائماً حين أتحدث عن البدايات والدعم الحقيقي، فهما أمي وأبي، رحمهما الله. كانا السند الأول والأكبر في حياتي، ومنهما تعلمت معنى الثقة بالنفس، والصبر، وتحمل المسؤولية، والإيمان بأن الإنسان يستطيع أن يصنع طريقه مهما كانت التحديات
ورغم رحيلهما، أشعر أن حضورهما لا يزال يرافقني في كل خطوة. هناك أشياء كثيرة أحققها وأتمنى لو كانا موجودين لأخبرهما بها، وأحياناً أتذكر موقفاً أو كلمة قالاها لي فأشعر أنها ما زالت تمنحني القوة.
أمي وأبي، رحمهما الله، كانا أول من آمن بي، وكل إنسان مرّ في حياتي كان له أثره الخاص. وأنا اليوم حصيلة كل تلك الوجوه، والكلمات، والمواقف، والدروس التي صنعت جزءاً من ندى التي أنا عليها الآن

وأقول لكل فتاة إماراتية في يوم المرأة الإماراتية: آمني بنفسكِ قبل أن يؤمن بكِ الآخرون
لا تسيري في الطريق الذي يرسمه الآخرون لكِ. ولا تخافي من أن تحلمي، اكتشفي شغفكِ، واختاري المجال الذي يشبهكِ، وامنحي نفسكِ فرصة التجربة، حتى لو أخطأتِ أو تعثرتِ؛ فالنجاح ليس طريقاً مستقيماً، وإنما رحلة فيها الكثير من المحاولات والتحديات، وكل تجربة، حتى الصعبة منها، تضيف إلى شخصيتكِ شيئاً.
والأهم: لا تقيسي نجاحكِ بسرعة وصولكِ، ولا تقارني رحلتكِ برحلة امرأة أخرى. لكل واحدة منا توقيتها، وظروفها، وقصتها الخاصة

شعار “بنظهر أقوى والأفضل” يختصر رحلة كاملة من الحياة؛ رحلة الإنسان في ذاته، وفي أسرته، وفي عمله، وفي علاقته بوطنه. فالقوة بالنسبة لي ليست أن نعيش بلا تحديات، وإنما أن نمر بها ونخرج منها أكثر نضجاً ووعياً وإيماناً بأنفسنا
على المستوى الشخصي، تعلمت أن كل تجربة، مهما كانت صعبة، تحمل درساً وفرصة للنمو، وأن النهوض بعد التعثر هو أحد أشكال القوة الحقيقية. وعلى المستوى الأسري، أؤمن بأن قوتي تنعكس على من أحب، وأن دوري أن أكون مصدر أمان وفخر لأبنائي، وأن أزرع فيهم الثقة والصبر والقدرة على مواجهة الحياة، لأن أجمل ما نتركه للأجيال القادمة هو القيم التي تبقى معهم
ومهنياً، “بنظهر أقوى والأفضل” تعني بالنسبة لي ألا أتوقف عن التعلم والتطور. الإعلام تغير كثيراً منذ بداياتي، وهذا التغيير جعلني أكثر حرصاً على اكتساب مهارات جديدة ومواكبة التكنولوجيا وتطوير أدواتي في الكتابة والصورة والسرد وصناعة المحتوى. فالخبرة الحقيقية، في رأيي، ليست أن نعرف كل شيء، وإنما أن نظل مستعدين دائماً لتعلم شيء جديد
أما وطنياً، فالشعار يعكس روح الإمارات التي تربينا عليها؛ روح الطموح والعمل والإصرار على أن يكون الغد أفضل من اليوم. وأشعر أن مسؤوليتنا لا تتوقف عند تحقيق النجاح الشخصي، بل تمتد إلى أن يكون لكل واحد منا أثر إيجابي في مجتمعه، وأن نحافظ على الصورة المشرفة التي تستحقها دولتنا

أثّرت مسيرة سمو الشيخة فاطمة بنت مبارك “أم الإمارات” في رؤيتي للمرأة الإماراتية، ورسّخت لديّ إيماناً بأن المرأة قادرة على الجمع بين الأصالة والطموح، وبين مسؤولياتها الأسرية ودورها في بناء الوطن. فقد كانت سموها نموذجاً ملهماً في دعم المرأة وتمكينها، وفتح آفاق واسعة أمامها لتشارك وتبدع وتصل إلى مختلف المجالات
أما رسالتي لسموها، فهي شكراً من القلب؛ شكراً لإيمانكِ بالمرأة الإماراتية، وثقتكِ بقدراتها، وحرصكِ على أن تكون شريكاً فاعلاً في مسيرة الوطن. وأجمل ما يمكن أن نقدمه وفاءً لهذه المسيرة هو أن نواصل النجاح والعطاء، وأن نفتح الطريق أمام الأجيال القادمة كما فُتحت لنا الأبواب
