These words were not merely a message of gratitude from one of my students years after I had taught him; they were a moment that changed my understanding of the meaning of success and redefined my purpose. At that moment, I realized that the greatest legacy a person can leave is not what they accomplish for themselves, but the impact that remains alive in the minds and hearts of others long after they are gone.
Since then, I have become more certain that knowledge is not merely a goal, but a responsibility, and that the greatest achievement a person can accomplish is to leave an impact that extends beyond their own presence.
As the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may his soul rest in peace, said:
“The human being is the foundation of any civilizational process and the maker of development.”
From my childhood, curiosity was the first driver of my journey. I was not searching for ready-made answers, but rather for the reasons behind things and the ways knowledge could be transformed into practical solutions. This is why I found mathematics to be a school of scientific thinking, discipline, and problem-solving. I realized that scientific thinking is not only an academic skill, but a way of life that helps individuals make more conscious decisions and transform challenges into opportunities for growth.
I began my professional journey in scientific research, then moved into university teaching, where I discovered that the greatest mission of an educator is not simply transferring information, but building confidence, awakening curiosity, and empowering individuals to think independently. Witnessing this impact in my students was among the most inspiring moments of my career, as it confirmed to me that true knowledge does not end at the boundaries of a classroom; rather, it continues to shape the future of individuals.
Later, I moved into the field of statistics and data analysis because I believed that data is not merely tables and numbers, but a language that describes society and helps build more accurate and fair decisions. Through my work in developing studies, building indicators, designing methodologies, and enhancing data quality, my belief grew stronger that behind every number is a person, and behind every indicator is a story that deserves to be understood.
For this reason, I have never viewed data as silent numbers, but as a responsibility that requires accuracy, because it can influence decisions that affect people’s lives and futures.
I still remember a moment when I was reviewing the results of one of the studies I worked on. I stopped seeing the figures as percentages and began seeing them as families, individuals, and futures that could be affected by the quality of our work. At that moment, I understood that accuracy is not only a professional requirement, but an ethical responsibility toward society.
With every experience, I have always ensured that my role extends beyond completing tasks to creating value that goes beyond the work itself. I shared knowledge, exchanged expertise, supported colleagues, and worked to simplify complex concepts because I believe knowledge is not complete when we possess it, but when it becomes a reason for empowering others to succeed.
I did not learn that knowledge is acquired only within educational institutions. Over the years, I realized that life itself is the greatest school. Every experience, every challenge, every conversation, and every person we meet carries lessons that books alone cannot provide.
Therefore, continuous learning became a way of life for me, not a stage that ends with earning a degree or reaching a position. Every day presents a new opportunity for deeper understanding, broader perspectives, and continuous personal and professional growth.
Over time, I came to understand that true knowledge is not measured by the information we store, but by our ability to use it to serve people, understand their differences, and transform it into value that creates a positive impact in their lives.
Continuous learning does not only build expertise; it builds a person who is more aware, humble, and capable of giving.
Looking back over the years, I realized that what connects all the stages of my journey is not the difference between roles, but the consistency of my purpose. In every stage, I searched for opportunities to learn something new, and then asked myself: How can what I have learned become a real impact in the lives of others?
Knowledge was never a personal achievement for me; it was a responsibility whose value increases whenever it contributes to empowering others and opening new horizons of thinking, confidence, and growth.
When I reflect on my journey today, I find that all its stages have led me to the same message:
I learned… because knowledge creates awareness.
I taught… because sharing knowledge builds people.
I worked… because people are the greatest investment.
And because the impact we leave in people’s lives is the only achievement whose value cannot be measured by numbers.
On Emirati Women’s Day, I do not view this journey as a personal achievement only, but as an extension of a national vision that believes investing in people is the greatest investment, and that empowering women is empowering the entire society.
If someone were to ask me one day about the achievement I hope remains after me, I would not speak about a professional title, an academic degree, or a successful project. I would hope to leave behind an idea that changes someone’s path, knowledge that opens a new horizon, or confidence that gives someone the courage to believe in their abilities and continue forward.
Names may be forgotten, positions may change, résumés may fade, and projects may end, but the impact we leave in minds and hearts continues its journey after us, moving from one person to another and from one generation to the next.
Therefore, I believe that the greatest achievement a person can accomplish is not what they keep for themselves, but what they leave in the lives of others through knowledge, inspiration, and hope. This, in my view, is the true legacy whose value cannot be measured by numbers.
Perhaps humanity has never needed strength as much as it does today, but not the strength measured by what we possess; rather, the strength measured by what we carry within us of awareness, wisdom, and humanity.
As changes accelerate and challenges increase, building people remains the most stable foundation, knowledge remains the safest investment, and values remain the compass we must never lose regardless of changing circumstances.

The slogan of Emirati Women’s Day, “We Will Appear Stronger and Better,” represents more than a personal ambition. It reflects a national vision that chose to place people at the center of every development project and to make women true partners in shaping the future.
On a personal level, it means striving to become better than I was yesterday. On a family level, it means being a source of support, compassion, and inspiration. Professionally, it means performing my work with excellence because behind every number is a human being. Nationally, it means contributing my knowledge to building decisions that create a more prosperous future.
The UAE has given us a model based on investing in people and has instilled in us the belief that education, research, and innovation are not only tools for individual success, but also instruments for protecting societies and shaping their future.
For this reason, I no longer view my work as merely a job, but as a responsibility. Every study, every indicator, and every accurate piece of information may become part of a decision that affects people’s lives. When I think this way, accuracy becomes an act of respect toward humanity before it becomes a professional standard.
When I reflect on the journey of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Nation,” I see that she did not only provide women with opportunities; she gave them the confidence to believe that they are capable of creating impact.
I carry a sincere message of gratitude to Her Highness:
“Thank you for making women’s empowerment a national culture and a message that continues from one generation to another.”
If I were to send a message to every Emirati woman, I would say:
Do not make success merely a destination you reach; make it an impact you leave on everyone who crosses your path. Continue learning, work with sincerity, and lift others as you move forward, because nations flourish when their sons and daughters flourish together.
Today, I do not see my journey as complete. Rather, I feel it is still at the beginning. There is still knowledge to share, initiatives to launch, people to inspire, and a nation that deserves the very best we can offer.
Therefore, the slogan “We Will Appear Stronger and Better” is not just a passing occasion for me; it is a daily commitment I renew with myself:

“شكرًا… لأنك لم تعلّميني مادةً دراسية فحسب، بل علّمتِني كيف أفكر”. لم تكن تلك الكلمات مجرد رسالة امتنان من أحد طلابي بعد سنوات من انتهاء تدريسي له، بل كانت لحظةً غيّرت نظرتي إلى معنى النجاح، وأعادت تعريف رسالتي. أدركت حينها أن أعظم ما يمكن أن يتركه الإنسان ليس ما ينجزه لنفسه، بل الأثر الذي يظل حيًا في عقول الآخرين وقلوبهم بعد أن يمضي. ومنذ تلك اللحظة، أصبحت أكثر يقينًا بأن المعرفة ليست غاية، بل مسؤولية، وأن أعظم إنجاز يمكن أن يحققه الإنسان هو أن يترك أثرًا يمتد إلى ما بعد حضوره، “إن الإنسان هو أساس أي عملية حضارية، وهو صانع التنمية” المغفور له الشيخ زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان، طيب الله ثراه

منذ طفولتي، كان الفضول هو المحرك الأول لرحلتي. لم أكن أبحث عن الإجابات الجاهزة، بل عن الأسباب، وعن الطريقة التي يمكن بها تحويل المعرفة إلى حلول عملية. لذلك وجدت في الرياضيات مدرسةً للتفكير العلمي، والانضباط، وتحليل المشكلات، وأدركت أن التفكير العلمي ليس مهارة أكاديمية فحسب، بل أسلوب حياة يساعد الإنسان على اتخاذ قرارات أكثر وعيًا، وتحويل التحديات إلى فرص للنمو

بدأت رحلتي المهنية في البحث العلمي، ثم انتقلت إلى التدريس الجامعي، حيث اكتشفت أن أعظم رسالة يمكن أن يحملها المعلم ليست نقل المعلومة، بل بناء الثقة، وإيقاظ الفضول، وتمكين الإنسان من التفكير المستقل. وكانت رؤية ذلك الأثر في طلابي من أكثر اللحظات إلهامًا في مسيرتي، لأنها أكدت لي أن المعرفة الحقيقية لا تنتهي عند حدود القاعة الدراسية، بل تستمر في تشكيل مستقبل الإنسان

لاحقًا، اتجهت إلى مجال الإحصاء وتحليل البيانات، لأنني آمنت أن البيانات ليست جداول وأرقامًا فحسب، بل لغة تصف واقع المجتمع، وتساعد على بناء قرارات أكثر دقة وعدالة. وخلال عملي في تطوير الدراسات، وبناء المؤشرات، وتصميم المنهجيات، وتعزيز جودة البيانات، ازداد يقيني بأن وراء كل رقم إنسانًا، ووراء كل مؤشر قصة تستحق أن تُفهم. ولهذا لم أتعامل مع البيانات يومًا باعتبارها أرقامًا صامتة، بل بوصفها مسؤولية تتطلب الدقة؛ لأنها قد تؤثر في قرارات تمس حياة الناس ومستقبلهم

وأتذكر جيدًا لحظة كنت أراجع فيها نتائج إحدى الدراسات، فتوقفت عن رؤية الأرقام بوصفها نسبًا مئوية، وبدأت أراها أسرًا وأفرادًا ومستقبلًا يمكن أن يتأثر بجودة ما نقدمه. عندها أدركت أن الدقة ليست مطلبًا مهنيًا فحسب، بل مسؤولية أخلاقية تجاه المجتمع

ومع كل تجربة، حرصت على ألا يقتصر دوري على إنجاز العمل، بل على بناء قيمة تتجاوز حدود المهمة نفسها. لذلك كنت أشارك المعرفة، وأتبادل الخبرات، وأساند زملائي، وأعمل على تبسيط المفاهيم المعقدة، لأنني أؤمن أن المعرفة الحقيقية لا تكتمل عندما نمتلكها، بل عندما تصبح سببًا في تمكين الآخرين من النجاح

لم أتعلم أن المعرفة تُكتسب داخل المؤسسات التعليمية فقط، بل أدركت مع مرور السنوات أن الحياة نفسها هي المدرسة الأكبر. فكل تجربة، وكل تحدٍ، وكل حوار، وكل إنسان نلتقي به يحمل درسًا لا تمنحه الكتب وحدها. ومن هنا أصبح التعلم بالنسبة لي أسلوب حياة، لا مرحلة تنتهي بالحصول على شهادة أو الوصول إلى منصب. فكل يوم يحمل فرصة جديدة لفهم أعمق، ورؤية أوسع، ونمو إنساني ومهني مستمر

ومع مرور الوقت، أيقنت أن المعرفة الحقيقية لا تُقاس بما نختزنه من معلومات، بل بقدرتنا على توظيفها في خدمة الإنسان، وفهم اختلافاته، وتحويلها إلى قيمة تُحدث أثرًا إيجابيًا في حياته. فالتعلم المستمر لا يصنع خبرة فحسب، بل يصنع إنسانًا أكثر وعيًا، وأكثر تواضعًا، وأكثر قدرة على العطاء

ومع مرور السنوات، أدركت أن ما يجمع جميع محطات رحلتي ليس اختلاف الأدوار، بل ثبات الرسالة. ففي كل مرحلة كنت أبحث عن فرصة أتعلم فيها شيئًا جديدًا، ثم أسأل نفسي: كيف يمكن أن يتحول ما تعلمته إلى أثر حقيقي في حياة الآخرين؟ فلم تكن المعرفة بالنسبة لي إنجازًا شخصيًا، بل مسؤولية تتضاعف قيمتها كلما أسهمت في تمكين الآخرين وفتحت أمامهم آفاقًا جديدة للتفكير والثقة والنمو

وعندما أتأمل رحلتي اليوم، أجد أن جميع محطاتها كانت تقودني إلى الرسالة نفسها: تعلمت… لأن المعرفة تصنع الوعي، وعلّمت… لأن مشاركة المعرفة تصنع الإنسان، وعملت… لأن الإنسان هو أعظم استثمار، ولأن الأثر الذي يبقى في حياة الناس هو الإنجاز الوحيد الذي لا تُقاس قيمته بالأرقام.

وفي يوم المرأة الإماراتية، لا أرى هذه الرحلة إنجازًا شخصيًا فحسب، بل امتدادًا لرؤية وطنٍ آمن بأن الاستثمار في الإنسان هو أعظم استثمار، وأن تمكين المرأة هو تمكين للمجتمع بأكمله

وإذا سألني أحد يومًا عن الإنجاز الذي أطمح أن يبقى بعدي، فلن أتحدث عن لقبٍ مهني، أو شهادةٍ أكاديمية، أو مشروعٍ ناجح. أتمنى أن أترك في حياة أحدهم فكرةً تغيّر مساره، أو معرفةً تفتح أمامه أفقًا جديدًا، أو ثقةً تمنحه الشجاعة ليؤمن بقدراته ويواصل طريقه

فقد تُنسى الأسماء، وتتغير المناصب، وتُطوى صفحات السيرة الذاتية، وتنتهي المشروعات، لكن الأثر الذي نتركه في العقول والقلوب يواصل رحلته بعدنا، وينتقل من إنسان إلى آخر، ومن جيل إلى جيل. ولهذا أؤمن أن أعظم ما يمكن أن يحققه الإنسان ليس ما يحتفظ به لنفسه، بل ما يتركه في حياة الآخرين من علم، وإلهام، وأمل. وذلك، في نظري، هو الإرث الحقيقي الذي لا تُقاس قيمته بالأرقام

 وربما لم يكن الإنسان في أي وقت مضى بحاجة إلى القوة كما هو اليوم، ولكن ليس إلى القوة التي تُقاس بما نملكه، بل إلى القوة التي تُقاس بما نحمله في داخلنا من وعي، وحكمة، وإنسانية. حيث تتسارع المتغيرات، وتزداد التحديات، يصبح بناء الإنسان هو الركيزة الأكثر ثباتًا، والمعرفة هي الاستثمار الأكثر أمنًا، والقيم هي البوصلة التي لا ينبغي أن نفقدها مهما تبدلت الظروف

ومن هنا، أرى أن شعار يوم المرأة الإماراتية «بنظهر الأقوى والأفضل» لا يعبّر عن طموح فردي، بل عن رؤية وطن اختار أن يجعل الإنسان نقطة البداية في كل مشروع تنموي، وأن يجعل المرأة شريكًا أصيلًا في صناعة المستقبل. وعلى المستوى الشخصي يعني لي أن أكون أفضل مما كنت عليه بالأمس، وعلى المستوى الأسري أن أكون مصدر دعم ورحمة وقدوة، وعلى المستوى المهني أن أؤدي عملي بإتقان لأن وراء كل رقم إنسانًا، وعلى المستوى الوطني أن أسهم بعلمي في صناعة قرارات تبني مستقبلًا أكثر ازدهارًا

لقد منحتنا دولة الإمارات نموذجًا يقوم على الاستثمار في الإنسان، ورسخت فينا أن التعليم والبحث والابتكار ليست وسائل للنجاح الفردي فحسب، بل أدوات لحماية المجتمعات وصناعة مستقبلها

ولهذا، لم أعد أنظر إلى عملي بوصفه وظيفة، بل مسؤولية. فكل دراسة، وكل مؤشر، وكل معلومة دقيقة، قد تكون جزءًا من قرار يمس حياة الناس. وعندما أفكر بهذه الطريقة، تصبح الدقة احترامًا للإنسان قبل أن تكون معيارًا مهنيًا

وعندما أتأمل مسيرة سمو الشيخة فاطمة بنت مبارك «أم الإمارات»، أجد أنها لم تمنح المرأة فرصة فحسب، بل منحتها الثقة لتؤمن بأنها قادرة على صناعة الأثر. وأحمل لسموها رسالة امتنان صادقة: شكرًا لأن رؤيتكم جعلت تمكين المرأة ثقافة وطن، ورسالة تمتد من جيل إلى جيل

وإذا كان لي أن أوجه رسالة إلى كل امرأة إماراتية، فسأقول: لا تجعلي النجاح غاية تصلين إليها، بل أثرًا تتركينه في كل من يلتقي بك. تعلمي باستمرار، واعملي بإخلاص، وارفعي معك الآخرين كلما تقدمتِ خطوة، فالأوطان تزدهر حين يزدهر أبناؤها وبناتها معًا

واليوم، لا أرى رحلتي قد اكتملت، بل أشعر أنها ما زالت في بدايتها. فما زالت هناك معرفة يمكن أن تُشارك، ومبادرات يمكن أن تُطلق، وأشخاص يمكن أن نلهمهم، ووطن يستحق أن نقدم له أفضل ما لدينا. ولهذا فإن شعار «بنظهر الأقوى والأفضل» ليس بالنسبة لي مناسبة عابرة، بل عهد أجددّه كل يوم مع نفسي: أن أتعلم أكثر، وأن أعطي أكثر، وأن أترك أثرًا أعمق… لأن الأثر هو الإنجاز الوحيد الذي لا يُقاس بالأرقام
