When God Writes the Ending… Humans Cannot Predict It

There are stories that a doctor never forgets, no matter how many years pass. Not because they were the most difficult surgeries or the most complicated diagnoses, but because they leave an imprint on the heart that time cannot erase. A woman entered my clinic carrying seven years of pain… seven years of waiting… seven years of moving between doctors. For seven years, she asked herself every month: Why can’t I become a mother again? She had given birth to her first child easily, but the moment of delivery changed the course of her life. It was a difficult birth that required the use of a vacuum device and resulted in a permanent disability for her child. From that day forward, she was not only carrying her child… she was carrying a pain that no one could see. She watched children of the same age grow, run, and play, while she stood helpless before her innocent child’s smile, wishing she could take away his suffering. Yet, she never stopped loving him. Then came another heartbreak… one year passed… then two… then seven full years without pregnancy. She searched everywhere. She consulted many doctors. She underwent examinations. She heard many explanations… but no one could answer the question: Why? One day, during an ordinary women’s gathering, she sat listening more than speaking. One woman told her: “Go to Dr. Laila at Latifa Hospital.” Another added: “She helped me… do not lose hope.” Sometimes, God sends relief through someone we do not even know. She came to my clinic. Before reviewing her medical records, I listened to her story. During the assessment and examination, the true reason behind her inability to conceive for all those years became clear. We sat together explaining her condition, the treatment plan, the required surgery, and how, God willing, any future delivery could be safer for both her and her child. She and her husband left the clinic carrying something they had lost long ago… hope. The surgery was successfully performed. Healing was achieved. Their life together returned to normal. Then something they thought was impossible happened… She became pregnant naturally. Without complicated intervention. Without losing their faith that when God wills something, He only says: “Be,” and it is. The day they had waited for seven years finally arrived. I was honored to perform her cesarean delivery and welcome her healthy baby into my hands. At that moment, it was not only the newborn’s cry that filled the operating room… it was seven years of tears melting into that first cry. She left the hospital embracing her baby with love, with a piece of her heart restored that she thought was lost forever. But life… is never free from trials. A few months later, the family returned to visit me. She carried her newborn child proudly, while beside her sat her first child, the one who had taught her the true meaning of patience. They entered with smiles… then the wife quietly told me words that broke my heart. Her husband had been diagnosed with cancer. The words stopped. Once again, I realized that life is not a story that ends only with happiness or sadness. It is a journey in which God blends joy with pain to test our faith and patience. At that moment, I understood that a doctor may diagnose illness, perform surgery, and prescribe treatment… but only God writes destinies. This family taught me that the miracle is not that life becomes free of hardships… but that a person remains faithful while facing them. That hope never dies, no matter how long the wait. That after every hardship comes relief, after every tear comes a smile, and after every night comes a new dawn. To every woman waiting for a child… to every family exhausted by waiting… to every heart burdened by difficult days… Do not lose hope. God’s gifts may be delayed… but they only come at the time when all goodness lies within them. And perhaps you dislike something which is good for you, and Allah knows while you do not know.

عندما يكتب الله النهاية… يعجز البشر عن توقعها

هناك قصص لا ينساها الطبيب مهما مرّت السنوات. ليست لأنها كانت أصعب عملية جراحية، ولا لأنها أعقد تشخيص، بل لأنها تترك في القلب أثراً لا يمحوه الزمن. دخلت إلى عيادتي امرأة تحمل في عينيها سبع سنوات من الألم… سبع سنوات من الانتظار. سبع سنوات من التنقل بين الأطباء. سبع سنوات كانت تسأل فيها نفسها كل شهر: لماذا لا أصبح أماً مرة أخرى؟ كانت قد رزقت بطفلها الأول بسهولة، لكن لحظة الولادة غيّرت مجرى حياتها. فقد كانت ولادة صعبة استُخدم فيها جهاز الشفط، وانتهت بإعاقة دائمة لطفلها. منذ ذلك اليوم، لم تكن تحمل طفلها فقط… كانت تحمل معه ألماً لا يراه أحد. كانت ترى أقران طفلها يكبرون ويركضون ويلعبون، بينما كانت هي تقف عاجزة أمام ابتسامته البريئة، تتمنى لو استطاعت أن تنتزع عنه معاناته. ورغم ذلك، لم تتوقف عن حبه يوماً. ثم جاءت صدمة أخرى… مرت سنة… ثم سنتان… ثم سبع سنوات كاملة دون حمل. طرقت كل الأبواب. راجعت أطباء كثيرين. أجرت الفحوصات. سمعت تفسيرات كثيرة… لكن أحداً لم يستطع أن يخبرها: لماذا؟ وذات يوم… في مجلس نسائي عادي، كانت تجلس تستمع أكثر مما تتحدث. قالت لها إحدى السيدات: “اذهبي إلى الدكتورة ليلى في مستشفى لطيفة.” وأضافت أخرى: “لقد ساعدتني… لا تفقدي الأمل.” أحياناً… يجعل الله الفرج يأتي على لسان إنسان لا نعرفه. حضرت إلى العيادة. وقبل أن أراجع أوراقها، استمعت إلى قصتها. وفي أثناء التقييم والفحص، ظهر السبب الحقيقي الذي حرمها من الحمل طوال تلك السنوات. لأول مرة منذ سبع سنوات… لم تعد تواجه سؤالاً بلا جواب. جلسنا معاً نشرح تفاصيل الحالة، وخطة العلاج، والجراحة المطلوبة، وكيف ستكون – بإذن الله – أي ولادة مستقبلية أكثر أماناً لها ولطفلها. خرجت هي وزوجها من العيادة وهما يحملان شيئاً كانا قد فقداه منذ زمن… الأمل. أُجريت الجراحة بنجاح. وتحقق الشفاء. وعادت الحياة بين الزوجين كما كانت. ثم حدث ما كانا يظنانه مستحيلاً… حملت تلقائياً. دون تدخل معقد. ودون أن يفقدا إيمانهما بأن الله إذا أراد شيئاً قال له: كن فيكون. وجاء اليوم الذي انتظراه سبع سنوات. تشرفت بأن أُجري لها الولادة القيصرية، وأن أستقبل طفلها السليم بين يدي. وفي تلك اللحظة… لم يكن بكاء المولود فقط هو الذي يملأ غرفة العمليات… بل كانت دموع سبع سنوات كاملة تذوب في تلك الصرخة الأولى. خرجت من المستشفى وهي تحتضن طفلها بكل حب، وقد عاد إلى قلبها جزء كانت تظنه قد ضاع إلى الأبد. لكن الحياة… لا تخلو من الابتلاء. وبعد أشهر قليلة، عادت الأسرة لزيارتي. كانت تحمل طفلها الجديد بكل فخر. وفي العربة بجانبها طفلها الأول، الذي علّمها معنى الصبر الحقيقي. دخلوا بابتسامة… ثم قالت الزوجة لي على انفراد بكلمات كسرت القلب. لقد شُخِّص الزوج بمرض السرطان. توقفت الكلمات. وأدركت مرة أخرى أن الحياة ليست قصة تنتهي بالسعادة أو بالحزن… بل هي رحلة يمزج الله فيها الفرح بالألم، ليختبر إيماننا وصبرنا. في تلك اللحظة، أيقنت أن الطبيب قد يشخّص المرض، ويُجري العملية، ويصف العلاج… لكن الله وحده هو من يكتب الأقدار. علمتني هذه الأسرة أن المعجزة ليست أن تخلو الحياة من الابتلاءات… بل أن يبقى الإنسان مؤمناً وهو يمر بها. وأن الأمل لا يموت مهما طال الانتظار. وأن بعد كل ضيق فرجاً، وبعد كل دمعة ابتسامة، وبعد كل ليل فجرٌ جديد. إلى كل امرأة تنتظر طفلاً… إلى كل أسرة أنهكها الانتظار… إلى كل قلب أثقلته الأيام… لا تيأسوا. فقد يتأخر عطاء الله… لكنه لا يأتي إلا في الوقت الذي يكون فيه الخير كله. ﴿وَعَسَىٰ أَن تَكْرَهُوا شَيْئًا وَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ﴾ صدق الله العظيم

إلى سمو “أم الإمارات”… بكل فخر وامتنان، أتقدم لسموكم بخالص الشكر والعرفان، لأنكم لم تصنعوا جيلاً من النساء الناجحات فحسب، بل صنعتم جيلاً يؤمن بأن خدمة الوطن هي أسمى صور الإنجاز، وأن القيادة تكليفٌ قبل أن تكون تشريفًا، وأن التميز الحقيقي يقاس بما يتركه الإنسان من أثرٍ في وطنه والإنسانية. لقد أصبحت المرأة الإماراتية، بفضل رؤيتكم الحكيمة، تتحدث بلغة الإنجاز، وتنافس على الساحة العالمية بثقةٍ تستمدها من قيادةٍ آمنت بقدراتها، ومن وطنٍ جعل تمكينها خيارًا استراتيجيًا لا يتغير، حتى غدت الإمارات مرجعًا عالميًا في بناء الإنسان وتمكين المرأة. وأمام هذا الإرث الوطني العظيم، نجدد العهد بأن نبقى أوفياء لثقة قيادتنا الرشيدة، متمسكين بقيم الإمارات، مؤمنين بأن كل نجاحٍ نحققه هو امتدادٌ لمسيرة وطن، وكل إنجازٍ نحققه هو انعكاسٌ للرؤية التي غرستموها فينا. نسأل الله أن يحفظ سموكم، ويديم عليكم الصحة والعطاء، وأن تبقى الإمارات، بقيادتها الرشيدة، منارةً للعالم في الريادة والإنسانية، وأن تظل المرأة الإماراتية نموذجًا عالميًا يُلهم الأجيال، ويبرهن كل يوم أن أبناء وبنات زايد هم دائمًا… الأقوى والأفضل
